The Salem Association is operated as a non-profit coporation. As such, it has an Executive Board that meets every quarter to handle the operations of the Association. This board is made up of representatiives from each church, as well as officers of the Association. At each meeting, the board hears reports from the committees and make decisions on the direction of the Assocation.

The officers consist of:

Moderator and Assistant Moderator- leads the meetings
Clerk and Assistant Clerk- take minutes during the meetings and conducts the daily office work of the Association.
Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer- Handle the financial side of the Association, taking care of receipts and paying bills.
State Board Member- represents the Association at the Kentucky Baptist Convention meetings and relays what the KBC does to the Association
Trustee Chair- heads up the trustee committee
Youth Director and Assistant- Act as leaders for the Youth committee
Sunday School Director- provides training and help for church Sunday School Directors.
Discipleship Training Director and Assistant- Help churches disciple their members to walk closer with Christ
WMU Director- leads us the Associational branch of WMU (Women's Missionary Union)
Brotherhood Director and Assistant- Provide help for churches in carrying out Brotherhood projects, like Men on Mission
Music Director and Assistant- set up music festivals for choirs, bands, and singers as a time of fellowship and worship
Athletic Director- oversees the recreation side of the Association, like inter-church softball games
Deacon Consultant- helps deacons better serve in their churches with training and fellowship

The committees consist of:

Athletic
Audit- makes sure the Association's books are in order.
Budget- looks at past expenses to see how much should be set aside to cover them in the coming year.
Camp Salem- oversees the operations of the camp
Communications- takes care the website (just a side note, I kind of prefer Web Geek, so you may hear me say that at times)
Evangelism
Family and Pastoral Ministries
Historical
Missions Development
Nominating- nominates people to serve as officers and commitee chairs
On Mission Team
Personnel
Program- takes care of setting events for the Annual Meetings
Public Affairs/Christian Life
Resolutions
Stewardship
Time and place- sets the time and locaion of Executive Board and Annual Meetings
Trustee
Youth

To be perfectly honest, the above descriptions are very general, and only touch the tip of what these people do.
