The Salem Association offers many services to the member churches. One of which is this website. In addition to the listings provided for church websites, each church has the option to get a site of their own through the association. To put it simply, each church can have their own website for just the cost of registering a domain name. If you want to know more about this, use the Website Help form.
If you've read the What We Do page, you have seen what our purpose is. We're going to elaborate on that here.
Promote fellowship- One way this is done is through the meetings that are held by different groups during the year. WMU, the Track Meet, even Executive Board meetings are a great time of fellowship. People get to talk with others from different churches and see how things are going. Just like sitting on the front porch used to be, and hanging out with friends is now, it is nice to just sit and talk.
Provide training- Throughout the year, the Salem Association holds training events for ministries. You can learn more about missions, Sunday School, VBS, Youth ministry, Music ministry, the list goes on. If you are interested in finding out more, use the Request Help form to contact us. Even if the Association itself does not provide a specific training, we will be glad to help you find the training you need.
Foster a cooperative spirit of ministry- That's a big way of saying we help churches help each other. There are 19 member churches in this Association. These churches are in Breckinridge, Hardin, and Meade counties, and many are separated by several miles. It can be difficult for them to talk to one another and work together. The Salem Association acts as a hub to help them work together.
All of this is just a general description of how we help, there really is a lot more, and we invite you to come join us and see what all there is.
